摘要

Batch transportation of crude oil pipelines with different outlet temperatures is a new transportation technology developed recently. The thermal state of the pipeline is unsteady and complicated due to the periodical change of operation conditions. To ensure the safety of pipeline operation, the thermal state of the pipeline should be further analyzed. In this paper, the thermal characteristics of the batch transportation of crude oil pipelines with different outlet temperatures were investigated numerically. Firstly, the physical and mathematical models for batch transportation were established respectively. Then the governing equations were discretized in a body-fitted grid system and solved by a pre-conditioned conjugate gradient(PCG) method. Simulation results were verified by the field data. Besides, we studied several major factors affecting the thermal state in the batch transportation comprehensively and systematically, such as initial field, throughput, batches, transmission distance, outlet temperature and environmental parameters. Some new thermal characteristics in batch transportation of crude oil pipelines with different outlet temperatures were presented, which provides technical guidance for the safety and energy efficiency of pipeline operation in field engineering.
