Abstract

A theoretical static spreading model of spherical segment droplet were built in this paper, which is an equation about droplet balance radius and height with other parameters such as the surface tension coefficient and the contact angle deduced by analyzing mechanical balance of a droplet on flat. And the experimental results of droplets were compared with the theoretical solutions, so that the fact can be confirmed that the model can be more accurately applied to droplet. At last, the effects of droplet physical parameters on static spreading diameter were quantitatively analyzed. It can be believed that the expression about the radius and height given in this paper can lay a good theoretical foundation for studying the dynamic processes of droplet impacting on flat.
