要約

Recently, it has been found that the Colburn-Hougen condensation heat transfer model for wall condensation with non-condensable gas in MARS-KS and RELAP5 codes was coded erroneously. Specifically, vapor density used in the mass condensation flux of the Colburn-Hougen model was coded based on partial vapor pressure instead of total pressure. To assess the impact of this error, UCB-Kuhn condensation tests are analyzed in the present study by two types of MARS-KS codes with and without the error corrections. As a result of the analysis, it is found that amounts of condensation heat flux and condensing liquid film flowrate are more increased in the corrected MARS-KS code compared to the original one and these trends are amplified as the non-condensable gas concentration increases. However, in spite of these changes, the overall predictability of the corrected MARS-KS code for UCB-Kuhn condensation tests is not as much improved as that for other condensation experiments such as COPAIN tests, University Wisconsin condensation tests and KAIST reflux condensation tests. This fact implies that there is still room for improvement of condensation heat transfer model in MARS-KS code.
