要約

A combination of fins and nanoparticles in a phase change material (PCM) in a triplex-tube heat exchanger was modelled and validated with experimental results. The main objective is to overcome the low thermal conductivity effect of present day PCMs which result in very long energy recovery times, thus seriously affecting energy storage and recovery in thermal energy storage systems. The performance of the system was studied for energy recovery (solidification). Results show interesting findings including substantial reduction in energy recovery times.
