要約

This work consists of development of FRF (Feasibility Replacement Fuel) software, which incorporates the most important variables to determine the most economic fuel to use in a boiler, either natural gas or fuel oil, for steam generation. The purpose of this software is for analysis of the various technical and economic factors affecting fuel consumption in the boiler in which a measurement is performed, resulting in a series of equations that relate to each other for determining fuel consumption in a more accurate way to evaluate replacing the fuel source for heat generation since the efficiencies are not equal. The computer program allows the user to make a decision regarding the fuel source, since the data shows which fuel presents better economic results in the evaluation period and the savings obtained by using the same.
