要約

A large eddy simulation (LES) was held for the air flow through Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) to identify the effects of the high-rise buildings on the air movements. A constant free stream velocity of 9 km/h was considered. The results show that the air friction with buildings enhances turbulence through the urban canopy, however, the increased building density damps turbulence. It is also observed that the air exchange rate per hour (ACH) calculated for the pedestrian level to be two thirds the global ACH for the whole domain based on the free stream velocity.
