Resumo

With the rapid construction and development of natural gas pipeline network in the world, the scale of the pipeline network is becoming much huger. Online dynamic prediction of hydraulic and thermodynamic parameters of the network has a great significance to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline network. For this reason, we combine the divide-and-conquer method with the GPU parallel means, developed an efficient parallel solution method for large sparse discrete equations involved in the natural gas pipeline network. The method firstly separates the pipeline network into several "independent" pipelines, and the solution of each segment can be delivered to different GPU cores to complete which is called a coarse-grained parallel. And the parallel for certain efficient algorithm for solving the pipe segment can be further implemented in on GPU which is called a fine-grained parallel. Such method with these two different levels of parallel is simple, practicable, efficient, and effective to overcome the low speed problem of traditional methods, the solving speed of the pipeline network is improved remarkably. And the method also has the advantages of strong portability and high stability.
