摘要

A ground heat exchanger is based on the constant thermal capacity of the ground throughout the year, for extraction/injection of thermal energy from/into the ground. In this article a second law based thermodynamic analysis was studied to optimize the design performance of a multichannel ground heat exchanger. Based on the Bejan entropy minimization technique, the dimensionless entropy generation number was obtained, a function that consists of five dimensionless variables, including Reynolds number, dimensionless length, scale factor of pressures, and two duty parameters of ground heat exchangers. The entropy number is minimized to produce analytical expression for the optimum length, the optimum flow velocity, and the optimum heat transfer rate.
