摘要

This study consists of two 3D storage tank design models that were modelled on COMSOL Multiphysics 5.1 and used to simulate the effects of plates on the performance of the tanks to supply the required cooling for a building. Stratification, average temperature and supply temperature of the tank were the main parameters obtained and analyzed from the COMSOL simulation. The study showed that for both designs, the built tank can supply the required cooling to an extent. Comparing the two tank designs showed that the first design with a single plate was less effective than the second design which was divided into sections with plates at each section inlet.
