BINARY FLUIDS APPLICATION IN THE EJECTOR ENERGY SYSTEMS
Abstract
Despite the alternative energy expansion is booming in the past decades, the hydrocarbon fuels still prevails as
the main energy supply on the planet. The full use of exergy of the combustion heat, which is usually
underutilized by 50-90% becomes the most important issue of today's energetics. Such services as space heating
and hot water supply related to the high-grade fossil hydrocarbons burning are wasteful and inefficient since the
useful heat equals to combustion heat, but the temperature potential is utilized by 5-10% only. The existed
cogeneration cycles allow utilization of up to 60% of the heat's exergy that can be significantly improved to 80-
90% by the complex exergy utilization using the binary fluid ejector technologies. The binary fluid systems are
selected due to its higher performance over the single fluid ones.
