LASER-ASSISTED ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OF BI2TE3-BASED THERMOELECTRIC MODULES
Abstract
In this study, we demonstrate a small thermoelectric generator (TEG) module that consists of Bi2Te3 legs fabricated by additive manufacturing technology named Laser-Assisted Additive Ink Fabrication (LAAIF). Dispensed thermoelectric (TE) legs were completed and functionalized by laser curing and sintering steps. We present the preliminary laser sintering of TE inks to make conductive and funational features and small module fabrication. The resulting N-type and P-type Bi2Te3 legs fabricated on silver paste coated glass and thermal-sprayed electrode patterns showed promising voltage output with good thermal and mechanical stability.
