Abstract

We analytically compute the apparent hydrodynamic slip length for Poiseuille flow over parallel ridges in the presence of thermocapillary stress at menisci in a parallel-plate channel. No-slip and constant heat flux boundary conditions are imposed at the solid-liquid interfaces between the ridge tips and liquid. Menisci are considered flat and adiabatic.
