要約

Experiments were carried out to investigate the flow boiling heat transfer in a microchannel using degasified and deionized water as the working fluid. Test section consists of a 40mm long, 0.5mm wide, and 0.24 mm deep microchannel machined in copper. Parameters considered include the inlet temperature ranging from 80 to 95°C, mass flux from 565 to 2222 kg/m2s and heat flux from 200 to 1600 kW/m2. Single-phase experiments have been performed to estimate the heat loss from microchannel and to validate the experimental setup. Results indicate that the boiling heat transfer changes with the change in inlet condition. The effect of mass flux on the heat transfer coefficient is negligible for an inlet temperature of 95°C and is considerable for an inlet temperature of 80°C.
