Resumo

Thermal conductivity is the main thermal property of any nanofluid. Therefore, several studies have been done to interrogate the thermal conductivity of nanofluid. In this study, the effect of particle weight concentration of a particular functionalized nanodiamond nanofluid up to 0.10 wt.% has been examined with temperature and deaggregation methods. Experiments showed an increase in thermal conductivity of nanofluids with increasing temperature and particle loading. The thermal conductivity of nanodiamond fluids showed a solid dependency on particle concentration, properties of particles and the base fluid and temperature. In order to investigate different factors' role on the thermal conductivity and viscosity of diamond nanofluid, statistical methods have been used in this paper. Response surface methodology based on the center cubic design was performed to survey the effect of independent factors such as temperature, concentration and de-aggregation method on thermal conductivity and viscosity of the nanofluid.
