Resumo

The present work theoretically investigates the models for calculating the performance on graphene-assisted InSb thermophotovoltaic (TPV) system. Because the TPV system can generate the electric power from the absorbed radiation inside the TPV cell only, power generation obtained by including graphene's absorption can lead to overestimation. Moreover, assumption of quantum efficiency of 100% does not take account of the recombination of generated electron-hole pairs and penetration depth, resulting in further overestimation. In this study, the power generation is calculated using various models so that the effect of each contribution can be analyzed. Furthermore, the effect of graphene on the enhancement of power generation is investigated with the penetration depth of thermal radiation.
