Аннотация

In this paper, an analytical solution of temperature and Nusselt number distributions of developing region are derived for a liquid plug flowing in a tube, which is similar to an acceleration or deceleration phase of an oscillating flow of a liquid plug occurring in an oscillating heat pipe (OHP). During the acceleration or deceleration process, the liquid plug can be assumed as the developing region of a fully developed flow. The results show that the Nusselt number of a liquid plug during the acceleration or deceleration process is much higher than that in the fully developed region. The model will be used to explain how an oscillating flow can enhance fluid flow and heat transfer of a liquid plug in an OHP.
