VISUAL EXPERIMENT ON PERFORMANCE OF R124-DMAC BUBBLE ABSORPTION PROCESS IN A VERTICAL TUBEMengnan Jiang DOI: 10.1615/TFEC2017.tpm.018324 摘要A visual experiment platform for R124 (2-chloro-l,l,l,2,-tetrafluoroethane)-DMAC (N', N'- dimethylacetamide) bubble absorption process in a vertical tube absorber was designed and built. The bubble behaviors, flow pattern distributions and absorption heights in the absorber were observed and measured. The results showed that three kinds of flow patterns, churn, slug and bubble flow, could be observed under normal operation conditions. The churn flow distribution mostly occupied about 1/3 of the total absorption height, while the slug flow distribution occupied about from 0 to 1/2 of that. The bubble absorption height could be reduced by increasing the solution flow rate, or decreasing the vapor flow rate, the solution inlet temperature and the nozzle orifice diameter. In particular, the height of slug flow distribution had been proved to be a major factor that influenced the absorption height. Decreasing the solution inlet temperature and properly shrinking the nozzle orifice diameter could remarkably cut down the height of slug flow distribution, thereby reducing the absorption height. |
